Your privacy at BestOf

BestOf requires no account. Your selected market, language, saved videos and installation preferences are stored in your browser. The latest video lists are cached on your device for up to 72 hours so returning visits can open faster. Clearing site data deletes these preferences and lists. They are not synchronized across devices. Discover also remembers up to 200 video openings on this device for seven days. The optional New to me filter hides those videos while keeping the order of the current selection. This local list is not sent to BestOf analytics and is deleted when you clear site data.

Video platforms

Thumbnails load from their providers. Instagram previews connect as they approach the screen. Opening a video connects to its official player; its provider receives connection information such as your IP address and can use cookies under its own policies. BestOf cannot read the player’s cookies or your platform account.

Direct sponsor banners have no third-party advertising cookies, pixels or click-tracking redirects. With your optional audience-measurement choice, BestOf counts banner impressions and clicks itself. Clicking an advertiser’s link opens its website, whose own policies apply.

If Google AdSense is activated, Google and its advertising partners may process information for advertising. Google’s configured Privacy & messaging system manages applicable advertising choices. BestOf suppresses its AdSense slot when the browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. A browser extension may also block ads.

Server operation

The server stores public video metadata and view observations for up to 30 days. Requests pass through our hosting provider, which may retain operational access and security logs. BestOf does not store an individual video history on its server.

Optional audience measurement

Measurement is off until you choose Allow statistics. BestOf then records page visits, player openings, supported play-start signals and direct sponsor impressions/clicks. A random session code is kept in your tab and renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity. The server stores a hash of this code, event timestamps, device category, platform, campaign and an approximate connection country for up to 90 days. It does not store IP addresses, individual video IDs, names or a persistent visitor profile in its audience database. Sessions are not unique people. Counts can be incomplete and are not independently audited.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable this measurement. You can turn it off below; the tab session code is then removed. Previously collected aggregate reports are not linked to your identity. Hosting providers may still retain their own operational logs.

Country suggestion

When the site is behind a configured geolocation provider, BestOf uses its approximate connection-country header to suggest a market. It does not request GPS access. VPNs and network routing can affect the suggestion. Your manual choice takes priority. In desktop local mode on this computer, BestOf can query Cloudflare’s HTTPS network diagnostic endpoint to obtain an approximate connection country. Cloudflare receives the computer’s connection information. BestOf discards the returned IP address and keeps only the country in memory for one minute. This fallback is disabled on hosted sites and for phone access over the local network. Where no connection country is available, BestOf uses the device time zone or browser region and labels it as an estimate.

Installation

The installable web app stores its icon and an offline notice. It does not save videos or advertisements for offline viewing. An Internet connection is required to watch.
